We're a small team in Richmond, VA, moving fast.

Why this role

Wellspoken is one of the fastest-growing startups in our space, a small team taking on players ten times our size. We move faster than they do because everyone here owns real outcomes, and your work will show up in the product and the numbers within days.

You'll learn directly from two technical founders, from Cornell and Berkeley, who have shipped products and scaled Wellspoken without raising a dollar. You'll see how a startup grows from the inside.

What you'll do

This role blends growth ownership with hands-on operations. You'll own real work and ship every week.

Growth, your main focus

  • Own our growth on Reddit, where people go for honest opinions and where ChatGPT and Gemini increasingly pull their answers. You'll learn the communities our users live in, find the conversations worth joining, and turn them into reach.
  • Show up consistently, track what's working, and iterate fast.
  • Shape how people discover and talk about Wellspoken online.

These rotate with your strengths and our priorities.

  • Social and brand: grow our presence across platforms and keep the voice consistent.
  • Content and SEO: write posts that bring in high-intent users over time.
  • Creators and UGC: write hooks and briefs, give feedback, and help our creators ship better videos.

Operations and user research

  • Run point on customer support and the day-to-day that keeps us moving.
  • Talk to users, review feedback, and turn what you hear into clear takeaways for the team.
  • Keep our docs and trackers tight so the team moves faster.

What you'll walk away with

We want this to be the internship you point to for years. By the end you'll have:

  • Owned a real growth channel, with the numbers to show your impact.
  • Run the modern growth playbook end to end: organic community, creators and UGC, paid ads, and SEO.
  • Sat in on founder strategy calls and seen how a startup actually makes decisions.
  • Talked to real users and shaped what we built next.
  • The skills and confidence to run your own projects, or start your own company.

Compensation & perks

  • $22/hr, full-time (40 hrs/week), early June through early August (8 to 10 weeks).
  • Strong performers continue part-time (10 to 20 hrs/week) through the fall.
  • Remote if you're far from Richmond, in person if you're able to commute. The schedule flexes around your commitments.
  • Full Wellspoken Premium access and a letter of recommendation on successful completion.
