Why this role
Wellspoken is one of the fastest-growing startups in our space, a small team taking on players ten times our size. We move faster than they do because everyone here owns real outcomes, and your work will show up in the product and the numbers within days.
You'll learn directly from two technical founders, from Cornell and Berkeley, who have shipped products and scaled Wellspoken without raising a dollar. You'll see how a startup grows from the inside.
What you'll do
This role blends growth ownership with hands-on operations. You'll own real outcomes, ship every week, and build systems the team keeps using.
Growth, your main focus
You'll run growth projects end to end: find opportunities, design experiments, execute fast, and report learnings clearly. The goal is simple: drive more qualified users into the product and turn what you learn into repeatable playbooks.
You might work on things like:
- Experimentation: generate ideas, prioritize, run tests, and iterate from results.
- Distribution: find where our users already are, online and offline, and earn attention there.
- Messaging and positioning: improve how we explain the product so it converts better.
- Lifecycle: improve activation and retention loops, from onboarding to habit formation to win-backs.
- Measurement: define success metrics, build lightweight dashboards, and write weekly recaps.
Operations and user insight
Always-on alongside the growth work, and often the source of your best growth ideas.
- Run point on customer support and the day-to-day that keeps the team moving.
- Talk to users, review feedback, and turn what you hear into clear takeaways and proposed changes.
- Keep docs, trackers, and processes tight so execution stays high-velocity.

Compensation & perks
- $22-28/hr, full-time (40 hrs/week), early June through early August (8 to 10 weeks).
- Strong performers continue part-time (10 to 20 hrs/week) through the fall.
- Remote if you're far from Richmond, in person if you're able to commute. The schedule flexes around your commitments.
- Full Wellspoken Premium access and a letter of recommendation on successful completion.
