Poised is closing. The notice sits on its own homepage:
"Poised is shutting down on 10/8/2026 – thank you for your support over the last few years!"
That is 8 October 2026. If you are reading this in late September, you have a little over two weeks to move your workflow somewhere else and get anything you care about out.
This guide is written for people who actually used Poised, so it starts with the part most comparison articles skip: Poised did two different jobs, and only one of them has a good replacement.
First, separate the two things Poised did
The live overlay. Poised sat on top of Zoom, Teams and Meet and showed you filler counts and pacing while you were talking. That was the unusual part. Very little else works this way, because it is technically awkward and because real-time nudges are distracting for some people and useful for others.
The post-call report. After the meeting, Poised summarised how you spoke. This part is well covered by other tools, several of which go considerably deeper than Poised did.
Which half you valued determines your answer. If you only ever glanced at the overlay mid-call and never opened the report, you are looking for a behaviour change, not a product. If the reports were the point, you have better options now than Poised offered.
What replaces each part

The honest read of that table: nobody is rebuilding the live overlay for you. Choose based on what you want to happen after the call instead.
If you want the deepest post-call analysis: Wellspoken
Wellspoken records real Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls through a macOS desktop app, separates your voice from everyone else's, and scores only you. The score is a 1,000-point index across six weighted dimensions and fifteen sub-metrics, with the full methodology and every weight published.
The practical difference from Poised is that a Poised report told you roughly how that one call went. An Index score is comparable across sessions, so you can see whether a habit is moving. Filler rate is one dimension of six and carries 150 of the 1,000 points; structure and conciseness together carry 450, which reflects where most people actually lose listeners.
It also does the thing Poised never did: structured practice between meetings, including drills and AI mock interviews, so there is something to do about the report.

If you want roleplay practice for sales or client calls: Yoodli
Yoodli is the strongest option if your speaking problem is conversational rehearsal rather than measurement. Its roleplay scenarios are its real feature, and it is priced low at $8 a month billed annually. It runs on web and desktop, with no mobile app, which matters if you practise on a phone. If you want short daily reps on a phone: Orai or Speeko
Both are mobile-first and built around short exercises rather than meeting analysis. Orai is $12 a month and leans gamified. Do this before 8 October
- Export anything you want to keep. Transcripts, recordings, reports. Once a product closes, the download links usually go before the marketing site does.
- Cancel the subscription yourself, through whichever billing method you originally used. Do not assume a shutdown cancels billing cleanly.
- Check your calendar integrations. If Poised had access to your calendar or meeting accounts, revoke it rather than leaving a dormant integration attached to a dead product.
- Pick a replacement and use it once before the deadline, while you still have Poised running to compare against. Judging a new tool is much easier with the old one still in front of you.
What this says about live-feedback tools generally
Poised was the clearest example of a category that keeps proving difficult: coaching during the conversation. The idea is appealing, the execution competes for the same attention the conversation needs, and the business model has to survive users who improve and churn.
The approach that has held up better is measuring afterwards and practising separately, which is deliberately how Wellspoken is built. Speech is measured against a published standard, and the practice happens somewhere it cannot cost you a real meeting.
If you were a Poised user, that is the honest reframe: you are not looking for a live overlay any more. You are looking for something that tells you the truth after the fact, and gives you a way to work on it.
