In the Wellspoken app
Mock interview practice
Run a full phone screen out loud before the real one. In the Wellspoken app you get on a voice call with an AI recruiter who asks the questions a recruiter asks. After the call you get a recap and a score for how you spoke.

How a mock interview works in the app
Pick the role
Choose an industry such as Technology, Finance, Consulting, Marketing, Healthcare or Sales, then a job title. Choose Custom to type your own industry and role, and add a company name so the recruiter refers to it.
Take the call
Echo, the AI recruiter, opens like a real phone screen with a little small talk. Then come the standard questions: tell me about yourself, why this role, general behavioral questions, and questions specific to the job title you picked. You answer out loud while a live transcript follows along.
Review your recap
After the call the app analyzes the conversation and notifies you when your Mock Interview Recap is ready. It has the call duration, a written summary, audio playback, and your Wellspoken Index.
What you get back
Your Wellspoken Index
One score for the whole interview, broken into six areas: Structure, Conciseness, Confidence, Pronunciation, Filler Rate and Pace.
A written summary
A two to three sentence recap of what you covered.
Audio playback
A recording of the full call, so you can hear your answers the way the interviewer heard them.
Ten common first-call questions
Rehearse each one out loud until the answer feels familiar.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why are you interested in this role?
- Why do you want to work here?
- Tell me about a time you worked through a disagreement with a teammate.
- Describe a problem you solved with limited information.
- Tell me about a goal you missed and what you did next.
- What project are you most proud of, and what was your part in it?
- How do you decide what to do first when everything is urgent?
- Tell me about a time you explained something complex to someone outside your field.
- What questions do you have for me?
How to practice on your own
Say each answer out loud. An answer that reads well in your head can run long or lose its thread once you speak it.
Record yourself on your phone and aim for 60 to 90 seconds an answer, two minutes at most. Listen back once, pick the weakest moment, and record the answer again. Two takes of five questions is a solid session.
For behavioral questions, give the situation in one or two sentences, spend most of your time on what you did, and finish with the result, stated plainly.
